Frequently Asked Questions
1. If I order multiple pairs of slippers, do they all ship for a total charge of $9?
Yes. No matter how many pairs of slippers you order, they will all ship for a total shipping charge of $9. We know that shipping costs have become very expensive. Giving FREE SHIPPING for all additional purchases after the first is our opportunity to say THANK YOU for your business. The same is true for insoles. No matter how many sets you order, the total shipping cost will be $3. If you order additional insoles with your slipper order, there is no shipping charge for the insoles.
2. Why would I want your removable and replaceable insoles?
Three very good reasons!
First, if the insole is kept clean, slippers do not wear out nearly as quickly. Dirt acts as an abrasive to hasten the wear process.
Second, if the insole is removed and washed separately (see "How do I wash..." and "How do I dry..." below for detailed instructions), the whole slipper will not require washing as often. And with an extra pair of insoles, you'll never be without your favorite slippers while the other insoles are being washed!
Third, and perhaps most important, is longevity and lasting comfort of your sheepskin slippers. The primary reason for discarding a sheepskin slipper is that the "underfoot" or insole is worn-out. By replacing worn-out insoles, you can extend the life of your favorite slippers significantly. We like to think an extra pair of properly-washed insoles can extend your wearing comfort by at least (and probably more than) twice as long as any of our competitors' products.
Our high top, low top and pull-on slippers feature these exclusive removable insoles.
3. What if it doesn't fit?
Merely return the unworn, unwashed slippers to us at the address on the RETURN/EXCHANGE FORM that is included in every shipment. We will immediately ship the needed size back to you, free of all shipping charges (except any expedited shipping that you may request).
In the unlikely event the product is not to your liking, we will credit your card for the original purchase price, excluding any original shipping/handling charges.
4. Where are your slippers shipped from?
Our Australian-made products are warehoused in Oregon. Shipments leave our warehouse via USPS and UPS. Depending on your location, shipping time should not exceed 5 to 6 working days. Single pair purchases can arrive as quickly as 2 to 3 business days.
5. Is there any Customs duty?
We do not surprise our customers with extra "customs duty" and "postal fees" that are associated with shipments from foreign countries. Our price is the complete price, duty-free, and is payable without any "foreign currency" exchange issues. This also means that there are no return or exchange issues as there are with slippers shipped in from overseas companies.
6. How much are shipping/handling charges?
Aussie Slippers ships exclusively within the United States. Slipper orders are shipped via the USPS and UPS. Cost for standard shipping (Priority Mail and UPS) is $9 whether you purchase one pair of slippers or 10. Same with insoles - 1 pair or as many as you want to order ship via First Class Mail for $3. If you require expedited delivery, we ship via UPS. Costs are: Overnight - $69; 2nd Day - $35; 3rd Day - $25. Expedited orders must be received by 11 AM Pacific Time in order to ship on the day of receipt.
7. What is your Privacy Policy?
WE RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY!! We do not rent, sell, give, or in any way share any information about you with anyone, anytime for any reason PERIOD!
8. How do I wash my slippers?
We recommend hand washing using a very mild LIQUID HAND SOAP. DO NOT use any detergents, delicate washes, wool washes or antibacterials. These can leach out the natural oils and the leather could become stiff.
If you choose to wash the entire slipper, be aware that color of slippers may be affected and the slipper will take a little time to regain the softness and look of the originals. Some stains, such as heavy foods, oil or nail polish will not come out with washing. We recommend speaking to a leather specialist in such cases.
For slippers with removable insoles (our high top, low top and pull-on versions), the insoles can and should be washed often. This raises the "luft" of the fleece underfoot, keeps them clean and comfortable, and extends the life of the insole (and thus the life of the slippers).
9. How do I dry my newly-washed slippers?
DO NOT PUT IN A DRYER!!! Dry slowly and away from a heat source or direct sunlight.
If you wash the entire slipper, stuff the interior with a towel to wick moisture from the wool prior to letting dry. Dry them in a "toe-up" position at room temperature (so any remaining moisture will drain to the slipper opening where it can evaporate easily). For slippers with removable insoles, dry the insoles outside the slippers. Work the leather by hand periodically while drying to help keep the slippers soft and to retain their shape.
10. What if I don't want to use my credit card online?
No problem. In addition to offering secure online payment, we can also take your order and make payment arrangements by phone. See our Ordering and Sizing Information page for details.
